| Often we’re asked if Justin’s methods work on gaited horses, draft horses, ponies, Arabians, barrel racers, in English disciplines, etc. The truth is, “The Mundt Method” is for any breed of horse and any discipline. The Mundt Method works for horses of all breeds and all personality types. No matter what you like to do with your horse, or how long you’ve owned it – you can accomplish your goals with Justin’s methods. From having a horse that has never been started, or if you have a horse that has developed problems over the years, having your horse developed into a safe, respectful partner is not something you should just wish for. Let Justin show you how.
This concentrated 8 week Training Program covers exercises on the ground that will teach your horse simple, versatile desensitizing exercises to help your horse be less spooky and more confident in many situations. Introduced will be Justin’s Three Core Exercises that will give you more control of your horse’s movement while simultaneously increasing his respect for your leadership abilities. He will teach your horse how to increase his flexibility, and Leadership Lunging to increase your horse’s respect and trust, just to name a few. Some of the riding exercises in this program are Justin’s One Rein Stop to give you the confidence to control your horse anywhere. Justin teaches your horse to move off at a walk, trot, and canter on a loose rein with simple leg pressure; to steer and guide wherever you want, with the slightest cue; to stop verbally without the use of reins; side passing; lead changes, as well as bending and suppling exercises and how to collect vertically. Plus much, much more! How Long Will My Horse Be In Training? The minimum training period is 8 weeks (see sidebar), but this period can be extended to suit your particular desires and your horse’s learning pace. At the end of the training period, Justin will give you a demonstration of what your horse learned while in training. This demonstration is like getting the keys to your brand new Cadillac! While a horse’s training never truly ends, 8 weeks allows the trainer to get a base of respect on the horse, as well as control that will aid the horse in future exercises in a chosen discipline. How Much Does Horse Training Cost?Click to download the JMH Horse Training Agreement and Liability Release, which also includes current pricing information. “Eight weeks is the minimum time I’ll accept for a horse to be in training. A horse’s true foundation training should be between 90 and 120 days. But eight weeks will allow the trainer to make enough progress to help the horse on his journey to his chosen discipline. No matter what house you want to build… just a small one bedroom house, or a huge mansion… if you don’t have a solid foundation, the house will fall. With my Foundation Training Program, I go back and ‘fill’ in the holes that the horse has in his current foundation, to better help the horse and rider to make a smoother transition over to more advanced maneuvers.”I see so many nice, well-meaning people getting seriously injured by their horses, or frustrated and not enjoying horse ownership, because they are literally begging their horses to listen. You can’t whisper sweet nothings in your horse’s ear and expect him to listen to you. Horses understand actions – not words. The first step to a better relationship with your horse is to do your homework and invest in your horse’s education! Make a commitment to yourself and your horse.”~Justin |
